Ask 3D

Ask.com are now relaunching with a brand new search interface that is in 3D. As far as I'm aware this is the first time it has been done and it is going to be a bold move. With Google changing to a CSS site i think this was inevitable, but i must say i do love the new 3D interface.

I have said this many times in the past that i think Ask.com is highly under rated as a search engine, but i do hope they will become a force in the market share department because they truly deserve it.

I really like the feature that Ask.com have where you can target exactly what your looking for. This is a great way for SEO and SEM's alike to get other ideas for keywords.

Will Ask.com be able to compete with Google? well as far as search results go there is not much between them in quality so perhaps in a few years time they will be able to compete with Google but i do think Ask's new interface will help win visitors.

GoogleBurner?

Well ok FeedBurner sounds far betther than GoogleBurner but never the less Google have finally announced its takeover of FeedBurner. After months of speculation and random rumours, the official Google Blog confirmed it.

This is great news for all the new people that do Podcasts and feed creators because now all the service can do is get far better (not that feedburner was useless before!). With the event of universal search now in force i think to myself it is not going to be too long before we see RSS feeds popping up in the SERPS.

So what does this mean for SEO? well nothing at the moment but now we have ANOTHER thing to optimise for!

I think this is also great for brand awareness and getting your service or product "out there".
